Andrew Glenn (86g) leads the first Grand Prix 250 Intermediate
moto at round 9 of the AHRMA Jakes Garage National Post-Vintage
Motocross Series at the Broome-Tioga Sports Center on June 28th
in Binghamton, New York.

Mathews (70c) and Terry Banks (partially hidden) battle for
third in the opening Grand Prix 250 Intermediate moto at the
AHRMA Post-Vintage National at Broome-Tioga on June 28th
in Binghamton, New York.
On
the last day of the AHRMA Vintage National at Broome-Tioga, the
racing took place on the former AMA Motocross Championship
Series full National racecourse. Hurd Motorsports, promoters of
this world class facility, provided a track groomed to
perfection for the post vintage motocross machines that
inspired the "long travel" revolution that transformed
motocross into the sport it is today.
Jay Gref (4j), Ron Bertrand (18) and Ken Gilmour (57q) battle
for the lead on the opening lap of the first moto of the
combined gate of Ultima 250 Expert and Ultima 500 Expert classes
at the AHRMA Post-Vinatge National at
Broome-Tioga in Binghamton, New York.
When
the gate dropped for start of the opening Grand Prix 250
Intermediate moto, Andrew Glenn, Carl Minieri, Terry Banks,
William Mathews and Merritt Brown led the pack out of the
switch-back first turn. Glen and Minieri continued to hold the
point and the runner-up positions at the start of lap two.
Mathews passed Banks to secure third. Banks was relegated to
fourth. Brown was all alone in fifth. The top five were all
spread out at the white flag. Minieri and Mathews battled right
to the end of the moto. Glenn got the win. Minieri, Mathews,
Banks and Brown completed the top five.
Ron

Mathews, Minieri, Brown and Banks led the start of the final
Grand Prix 250 Intermediate moto. The top five remained
unchanged until the start of lap three when Banks passed Brown
to secure fourth. Brown was relegated to fifth. Glenn took
another win. Mathews, Minieri, Banks and Brown followed.
Glenn
(1-1) topped the podium. Mathews (3-2) took second and Minieri
(2-3) third.
Stan Talago (415) and Jay Gref (4j) lead the pack out of the
first turn in the final moto of the combined gate of Ultima 250
Expert and Ultima 500 Expert at round 9 of the AHRMA Jakes
Garage National Post-Vintage Motocross Series at the
Broome-Tioga Sports Center on June 28th.

Bertrand, Jay Gref, “Skip” Collins, Stan Talago and Mike
Blauman led the start of the first moto of the combined gate of
Ultima 250 Expert and Ultima 500 Expert classes. Gref took the
point on the backside of the National Hill on the opening lap.
Bertrand was displaced to second. Ken Gilmour passed Collins to
secure third. Collins was relegated to fourth and Scott Mitchell
rounded out the top five. Gref continued to hold the lead at the
start of lap two but had only a two bike length lead over
Bertrand. Gilmour was a solid third. Stan Talago moved up to
claim fourth. Mitchell held fifth. Gref took the white flag with
a three second lead. Gilmour took second at the end of lap two,
relegating Bertrand to third. Talago and Collins rounded out the
top five. Gref took the checkered flag five seconds ahead of
Gilmour. Bertrand, Talago and Collins closed out the top five.
Stan
Talago (415) leads the final moto of the combined gate of Ultima
250 Expert and Ultima 500 Expert at the AHRMA Jakes Garage
National Post-Vintage Motocross Series at Broome-Tioga on June

Talago,
Gref, Blauman and Gilmour led the start of the final moto of the
combined gate of Ultima 250 Expert and Ultima 500 Expert. When
the leaders descended the National Hill after a half lap, the
top five running order was; Talago, Gref, Gilmour, Blauman and
Bertrand. The top five were all spread out by the start of lap
two. Talago had a four second lead established by the start of
lap three and increased it to five at the white flag. Gref
mounted a last lap charge and reeled Talago in but ran out of
time. Talago got the win with a three second lead. Gref,
Gilmour, Blauman and Bertrand rounded out the top five.
